New Bylaw: No Questioning Ritual Bathers Without Consent

A new manual is to be put out by the Department of Religious Services that will regulate how mikvah (Ritual Bath) attendants relate to the women coming to ritually purify themselves.

The new bylaw stipulates that the bathers are not to be asked about their personal states, private lives and issues of modesty- unless they are interested in being asked about them.

The bather’s status of ‘ritually pure’ following her dip in the mikvah will be the sole responsibility of the bather herself.
