Feared Ban on Religious Apparel in Quebec Annulled

Quebec’s Parti Quebecois (PQ) political party and its leader, Pauline Marois, suffered a terrible defeat in yesterday’s (Monday) provincial elections.

The province’s Liberal party won 70 out of a possible 125 seats.

The results of yesterday’s elections put an end to the PQ’s proposed ‘Charter of Values,’ within which religious garb such as kippot (yarmulkes) and turbans would be banned from the workplace.
