Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman said, Sunday, that would prefer new elections to another round of releasing security prisoners to the Palestinian Authority (PA). Speaking at the Jerusalem Post conference in New York, he said it would be impossible to address such a demand in light of the unilateral actions taken by the PA. He said another option was a new coalition. Responding to Minister Naftali Bennett's threat to prosecute PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, he said it was sometime better to keep quiet and not make too much noise.
Liberman said the tension between the United States and Russia could hurt efforts against Iran's nuclear development program and its aid to terror.
