New Haggadah for Sick & Elderly Highlights Essentials

Rabbi Yaakov Ariel, the Chief Rabbi of Ramat Gan, advocated the reading of a shortened Passover Hagaddah for the sick and elderly. Because the traditional Passover seder is conducted after sundown and can go late into the night, Rabbi Ariel divided the Haggadah into the most important sections. He stressed that all religious obligations be adhered to, but that those sections of lesser importance can be abbreviated.
