Economic Ministry Working to Remove Development Hurdles

Director-General Amit Lang of the Economics Ministry said, Tuesday, that the ministry will soon be announcing the first 60-milion-shekel ($17.2 million) allocation of rent subsidies to attract companies to the Be'er Sheva' Science and Hi-tech Park and facilities like it. His comments came during a tour of the Be'er Sheva' facility in conjunction with the Calcalist economics publication's Negev 2014 Conference, along with Minister Naftali Bennett and other officials.

Lang said the announcement was part of an effort to follow through on Bennett's call to remove obstacles to potential corporate residents of the park. Bennett said, during the tour, that the park and the Negev in general, marked one of the biggest opportunities in the Middle East.
