Rights Group Ties Olmert Conviction to Disengagement

SOS Israel, an activist group for Gush Katif expellees, tied the conviction of former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to the Disengagement from Gaza in 2005.

"The person pursuing kickbacks and bribes is also the person who helped lead, like sheep to slaughter, thousands of Jews who were expelled from their homes in Gush Katif," the group said in a statement on Monday. The group added that they predict "those who led the expulsion plan from Gush Katif" would also eventually be found guilty of committing acts of graft and corruption.
