Holyland Sentencing Hearings in Four Weeks


Judge David Rosen of the Tel Aviv District Court announced, Monday morning, that arguments on sentencing in the Holyland corruption case will be heard in four weeks for those he convicted on Monday. The case involves approval of the Holyland real-estate project after it appeared headed for rejection.

Among the prominent people convicted were former prime minister Ehud Olmert, who was mayor at the time, as well as his former office manager, Shula Zaken. Also convicted were former Jerusalem mayor Uri Lupolianski, former deputy mayor Eliezer Simhayoff and former city engineer Uri Sheetrit.
