Holyland Verdict Schedule May Not be Delayed

Judge David Rosen of the Tel Aviv District Court did not decide, Sunday, if the verdict in the Holyland corruption case will take place on Monday as announced recently. The prosecution had asked for a delay to allow for the possibility of additional charges against former prime minister and Jerusalem mayor Ehud Olmert, following a plea bargain with Olmert's former office manager, Shula Zaken. 

Verdicts will apparently be handed down against at least some of the defendants in the case, which revolves around the approval of a Jerusalem land development which was approved after it appeared headed for rejection during Olmert's term as mayor.
