Neighbors of Tel Shilo-based winemaker Tzvi Struk are volunteering to help sell bottles of wine. Struk was convicted in 2010 of beating an Arab youth although he vehemently denied the charges as do his neighbors.
"This is a boutique winery which produces high-quality wine," stated friends. "Vineyards in the region have optimal weather conditions. It is a tremendous privilege to grow on soil that haven't been used in this manner for 2,000 years," they added.
Sagi Kaisler, director of the Shomron (Samaria) Residents' Committee stated that on Purim over 200 bottles were sold and he hopes for more during the Passover season.
