Israel Asks Hungary to Ensure Funds Don't Go to Terror

Deputy Minister of Religious Services Eli Ben-Dahan (Jewish Home) traveled to Hungary to meet with President Janos Ader and other senior officials. Ben-Dahan informed the President that only a few days ago it was discovered that the funds transferred from the European Union to the Palestinian Authority ended up being used for terrorist purposes. He asked that Hungary, as a member of the EU, help in the fight against terrorism by closely monitoring the destination of funds. During his visit to the capital city of Budapest, Ben-Dahan also met members of the local Hungarian Jewish community.
