Herzog: PM Must Intervene in Foreign Ministry Strike

Opposition leader and Labor chairman MK Yitzchak Herzog on Sunday night called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to intervene in order to end the strike at the Foreign Ministry.

"For many weeks I have been warning the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, on every stage, in the Knesset and in private conversations, and have been urging them to personally intervene and solve this crisis," said Herzog. "This is a loyal and good group of employees, who receive miserable salaries while they are abroad. The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister must intervene today and stop the Ministry of Finance, the Finance Minister and his deputy, from continuing to humiliate the employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”
