Route 6 Speed Limit to be Raised to 120 Km/h


Yisrael Katz, Israel’s Minister of Transport and Road Safety has signed (today, Sunday) on a new decree allowing for a raise in the permitted maximum highway speed to 120 km/h. Thus far, the maximum allowed speed has been 110 km/h.

The new decree, signed by Minister Katz and approved by the Justice Department, has established that the Ministry of Transport can raise the maximum permitted speed limit to 120 km/h on highways, following a consultation with the head of the Israeli Police Force’s Department of Transport.
