Liberman: Judea and Samaria Were Never a Peace Hurdle

Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman thanked senior Greek officials, Thursday, for Greece's efforts as president of the European Union, to balance the positions of EU members Speaking during meetings in Athens with the officials and representatives of the Jewish community, he said some EU officials have the misconception that the Arab-Israeli conflict is rooted in the Jewish communities beyond the 1949 Armistice Line. He noted the communities were not a problem in the treaties with Egypt and Jordan.

Liberman said that agreements recently reached with Iran regarding its nuclear program are lacking, compared to the agreements with Syria on removing chemical weapons from its territory. He also thanked Greece for its efforts against anti-Semitism.
