IDF Central Command Saves NIS 15 Million

The Central Command of the Israel Defense Forces saved about 15 million shekels ($4.3 million) as a result of efficiencies in transport and the consumption of electricity and fuels. Four million shekels were saved through a pilot program to monitor electricity use at two bases in Samaria (Shomron) and the program will be expanded.

The command intends to attach pillbox positions to the electric grid in order to lower the cost of using generators. The command intends to use the savings for additional training and operations.
