Central Region Farmer Credits Prayer for Rain

Farmer Moshe Kahana of Beit Hiliya, east of Ashdod, told Arutz Sheva, Thursday, that this week's rain, after months of drought, was enough to save about 30 percent of the wheat crop, ensuring a regular supply of matzah shemura for Passover. He said the supply of hay for livestock will be low, but other branches of the agriculture sector were saved.

Kahana credited the recent prayer by hundreds of thousands of hareidi Jews for the abundance. He said he did not know what was happening in the north or south "but here by us in the center areaand Yavne, this rain was really like gold."
