Oman to Buy Gas from Iran

Oman has entered into an agreement with Iran to buy $60 billion worth of gas over the course of the next 25 years.  The deal will go into effect starting next year.

Iran's state news agency, the IRNA (Islamic Republic News Agency), has reported that Oman intends to build a direct pipeline via the Strait of Hormuz at the cost of an additional billion dollars.

This will also enable Oman to sell gas to other countries.
