Jewish Home: Voting Against One's Party Will Bring Repercussions

In response to MK Yoni Chetboun's comments stating his opposition to the new military conscription law, the Jewish Home faction said, "Jewish Home decided yesterday (Monday) in a faction vote to support the equality of burden in military service law as well as the national referendum bill, and that position was also supported by MK Chetboun."

"Any vote that is contrary to the faction's is considered unethical, hostile, and inappropriate.  The Jewish Home faction will not tolerate attempt to damage the party or its members, and will be subject to severe repercussions,: the faction added.

Arutz Sheva was informed that in the event that Chetboun intended to put his words into action, the faction intended to unseat him from his duties in the Knesset, including that of Deputy Speaker, in which he now serves.
