A 28-year-old infiltrator from Sudan was caught by Israeli authorities, Monday evening, after he crossed the border from Egypt in search of work. The Interior Ministry's Population and Immigration Authority said he was the 14th infiltrator caught after crossing the Sinai border since the beginning of January. He was taken to the Sahronim holding facility, where he faces a year's detention.
The infiltrator told interrogators he paid a thousand dollars to smugglers in Khartoum and Cairo. They got him a passport and flew him to Cairo where they put him up in a hotel before leading him to the border.
