The Ministry of the Economy has been expanding its campaign to encourage the hiring of employees from across the board, including those of the hareidi and Arab minority sectors. Minister of Economy, MK Naftali Bennett (Jewish Home), commented this morning (Sunday) on his Facebook page that he had had a very interesting phone conversation with the secular CEO of an Israeli software company who has 40 hareidi employees amongst his staff.
The CEO, whom Bennett refers to as 'Yair', told the minister that the (hareidi) employees were "brilliant due to their study of Gemara (Talmud). They think quick and have an excellent work ethic."
"You have to accommodate them for times of prayer during the day and Jewish holidays, but this is negligible compared to what they bring to the workplace. They do not linger in the hallways to chat; they work," 'Yair" said.
