Rabbi Ben-Dahan: Pray for Pollard

Deputy Minister for Religious Services, Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan, called, Thursday afternoon, for people to pray for the recovery of Jonathan Pollard, who underwent surgery because of a worsening of his condition in a federal prison, where he is in the 29th year of a life sentence for passing classified information from the United States to Israel.

Writing on his Facebook page, Rabbi Ben-Dahan noted that his rabbi, the late former Sephardic chief rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu, not only spoke on behalf of Pollard's release, he visited him ten times. Saying that Pollard did a lot for the land and people of Israel, he called on the public to stop for a moment and pray for Yonatan ben Malkah among the ailing of Israel.
