Staff of Diplomatic Missions Abroad in Labor Dispute

The Histadrut Labor Federation declared a labor dispute, Thursday, over what it called the state's ignoring the request of 1,100 employees at Israeli diplomatic missions abroad to open negotiations on a collective bargaining agreement concerning working conditions. The declaration means the workers can declare sanctions in two weeks.

Among the workers involved in the dispute are those who are involved in issuing passports, security representatives, administrative and maintenance workers, security procurement workers, professional state advisors for international organizations and many others. The workers' committee at the Foreign Ministry expressed its full support for the international staff.
