Man Sentenced Two Years in Jail for Smuggling Eggs

A local Magistrates Court sentenced a Beer Sheva man to two years in prison and fined him 65,000 shekels for smuggling a large quantity of eggs. Courts said his eggs came from sources without veterinary supervision and were not sorted or checked in any manner. He was convicted of transporting them without refrigeration, thus endangered the public health. All cases occurred between 2008 and 2013.
