Shechem Resident Confesses to Geha Stabbing

A 34-year-old resident of the Samarian (Shomron) Palestinian Authority-assigned city of Shechem faces a hearing for extension of his remand, Monday in the Petach Tikva Magistrates Court, following his arrest by the Israel Defense Forces and the Shabak (Shin Bet, General Security Service) Israel Security Agency on suspicion of stabbing a Breslaver hasid, Sunday, at the Geha interchange between Petach Tikva and Bnei Brak. The victim was taken to Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikva with moderate wounds.

The suspect confessed under questioning. He said the attack was in response to undisclosed actions by the Israel Defense Forces.
