Earthquake Hits North of Japan

A magnitude 6.7 earthquake struck in the East China Sea north of the Japanese island of Okinawa on Sunday.

According to the U.S. Geological Service, the epicenter of the earthquake was 68 miles (110 kilometers) north-northwest of Nago, a tourist town in the northern Okinawa Island near a U.S. Marine Base. No tsunami warning has been issued.
