The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange ended the first day of the trading week, Sunday, with slight losses in mixed trading. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,259.50, down .02 percent from Thursday's close, while the TA 100 was virtually unchanged at 1,256.54, including a gain of .02 percent to 1,350.89 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 1,093.67, down .45 percent.
Leading the gainers was the insurance index, which rose .39 percent to 1,497.44 as the financial institutions finished the day at 1,239.23, down .01 percent, including a drop of .27 percent to 1,264.96 by the bank issues. The real-estate stocks stood at 390.21, up .26 percent, while the communications index advanced .21 percent to 736.34. The oil and natural-gas issues closed at 1,276.00, down .55 percent, while most of the technology stocks declined .94 percent to 367.78, and the biomed index stood at 1,178.36, down 1.17 percent.
