Shekel, Pound, Euro Up - US Dollar, Yen Down

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .295 percent, Friday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.496, down .597 percent from Thursday's rate, while the Euro declined .108 percent to 4.7979 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at 5.8471 shekels, down .077 percent, while 100 Japanese yen fell .475 percent to NIS 3.4369. The Australian dollar was fixed at NIS 3.134, down .213 percent, while its Canadian counterpart slumped .607 percent to 3.1413 shekels. Sweden's krona was fixed at .5422 shekels, up .743 percent, and the South African rand rose .583 percent to NIS .3276.
