The pound sterling was set at 5.8471 shekels, down .077 percent, while 100 Japanese yen fell .475 percent to NIS 3.4369. The Australian dollar was fixed at NIS 3.134, down .213 percent, while its Canadian counterpart slumped .607 percent to 3.1413 shekels. Sweden's krona was fixed at .5422 shekels, up .743 percent, and the South African rand rose .583 percent to NIS .3276.
