U.S. Lawmakers Concerned Over Iranian Oil Exports

United States lawmakers on Thursday expressed concerns about reports that China and India are significantly expanding imports of Iranian petroleum.

According to government data, Chinese imports of Iranian crude have jumped nearly 30 percent since November, when Iran and the six world powers reached an interim agreement, compared with the previous six months. Some reports suggest Indian imports doubled in January, though U.S. officials believe the growth was far more modest.
