Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange ended the trading week, Thursday, with modest gains. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,256.84, up .03 percent from Wednesday's close, while the TA 100 rose .02 percent to 1,254.56, including a gain of .12 percent to 1,350.65 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 1,098.63, up eight tenths of a percent.
Leading the gainers was most of the technology index, which climbed 1.09 percent to 369.57, while the biomed issues stood at 1,180.39, up a tenth of a percent. The bank stocks advanced .99 percent to 1,268.43 as the the financial institutions finished the day at 1,238.61, up .61 percent, including a rise of .31 percent to 1,491.69 by the insurance index. The oil and natural-gas issues stood at 1,279.73, up .57 percent, followed by the real-estate stocks, which gained .55 percent to 388.36, while the communications index declined .37 percent to 734.83.
