Gasoline Prices to Rise Saturday Evening at Midnight


The governments ceiling for the price of 95-octane unleaded gasoline will rise 17 agorot (2.31percent), Saturday night at midnight, to 7.53 shekels per liter at self-serve pumps where value-added tax is charged. That translates to about $8.00 a gallon. The surcharge for full service will stay at 18 agorot per liter, including VAT

In Eilat, where no VAT is charged, the increase will be 14 agorot (2.24 percent), bringing the ceiling to NIS 6.38 per liter/$6.79 a gallon. The surcharge for full service will remain at 15 agorot a liter.
