Herzog: Boycotts Are Bad, but So Are Settlements

Opposition leader MK Yitzchak Herzog (Labor) spoke out on Tuesday against attempts to boycott Israel, but also said that Israel will continue to be delegitimized as long as it continues to build in Judea and Samaria.

"All kinds of countries are carrying out a campaign against us and I do everything I can to fight it. The boycott will first and foremost hurt the Palestinians who work in Israel and beyond that I'm not even sure a boycott will be effective,” said Herzog.

However, he added, "There is one problem and it is clear: settlements are illegal. A ruling by the International Court of Justice on the separation fence placed the final nail in this matter.”
