The Tel Aviv District Court convicted Eliran Vaknin (28) and Effie Jerbi (29), Tuesday, on charges connected with the March 2013 placement of an explosive device at the Tiv Ta'am store on Ibn-Gavirol Street in Tel Aviv. The device failed to detonate.
Under a plea bargain the two confessed to conspiracy, making a weapon and acquiring a weapon. A third suspect has been convicted but not sentenced. Before the sentence was pronounced, the prosecution spoke out against the growing phenomenon of the use of explosives to settle disputes.
