In addition to its aim of acquiring nuclear nation status, Iran has also been busy developing new technologies and building up its military. Iranian Defense Minister Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehghan has introduced a new missile guidance system and a new 'smart' composite armor, which show Iran to be one of the few countries that possess such state-of-the-art technology in their weaponry.
The ‘smart seeker' for ballistic missiles is a guidance system which provides the ability to pinpoint targets more precisely on both sea and land, and will boost the combat capability of Iranian forces. The new missile technology not only increases the precision and smartness of the missiles but it has destructive power, as well as the the ability to overcome other anti-missile systems.
The Iranian Armed Forces also introduced a smart composite armor which is built of Shear Thickening Fluid (STF) or liquid armor. It can resist steel core anti-armor bullets and was built according to international standards
