Knesset Approves Bill Expanding Rights of Women Undergoing Fertility Treatment

The Knesset today (Monday) approved the second and third readings of the bill submitted by MK Orit Struk (Jewish Home) which prevents employers from firing women undergoing fertility treatments, even if she has already used these rights before with a previous employer.

"The bill will help women to whom life has been somewhat cruel in making it so difficult for them to bring children into the world so that they need to go through complicated treatments. You cannot imagine the sorrow and pain these women take with them, but you try to help them even in a small way - and that is what we are accomplishing here today," she said.
