Interior Ministry Told: Don't Let Dead People Vote

The Knesset Interior and Environmental Protection Committee held a hearing, Monday morning, on preparations for new elections in Beit Shemesh, west of Jerusalem, which were ordered following irregularities in the October balloting. Addressing one of the alleged irregularities, Committee Chairwoman Miri Regev told the ministry's elections manager, "Make sure that dead people don't vote this time."

A ministry representative said that, for the first time, polls will have secretaries who are state employees who don't live in the area.
