MKs: Talk About Elections in Nazareth, Too

MKs Yaakov Asher (United Torah Judaism) and Yitzchak Cohen (Shas) on Sunday evening asked the Knesset’s legal advisor to prevent Monday’s scheduled discussion at the Knesset’s Internal Affairs Committee regarding the preparations for new elections in Beit Shemesh. The two noted in their letter that the court has also ruled that new elections should be held in Nazareth, and as such a discussion on the preparations for elections in both cities should be held.

“It would be better for the Likud to conduct its candidate’s election campaign in the acceptable way. I expect those entrusted with the conduct of the Internal Affairs Committee to at least purport to show that the committee is operating with integrity,” said MK Asher.
