      Little News Out of Kerry-Abbas Talks


      Secretary of State John Kerry of the United States met with Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority (PA) for two hours on Thursday in Paris for the second time in two days, according to American officials cited by Agence France Presse. There was no immediate comment on how the two days of talks went, but U.S. officials have insisted they are making progress despite the tough issues to be resolved.

      PA ambassador to Paris, Hael al-Fahum, told Voice of Palestine radio that Abbas "had outlined his vision of a peace which is based on international law". The PA leader also insisted there could be no deal without eastern Jerusalem as the capital of a PA state  and "a resolution of all the issues, in particular security, refugees and the release of prisoners".
