Jordanian Named Yitzchak Rabin Enlisted in IDF

After much deliberation, 18-year-old Yitzchak Rabin Namsy has been officially inducted into the Israel Defense Force. His family has been pushing, throughout lawyers and other legal means, for him to receive Israeli citizenship. Namsy has been in the process of converting to Judaism and today wears a kippah and keeps Shabbat.

Born to Jordanian Bedouin Muslims, Namsy's family fled Jordan and moved to Eilat when he was a baby. He was named after the late Israeli Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin.
