As employees of Hadassah Medical Center continue to strike, the president of the Hadassah women's organization that founded the center generations ago spoke out. Hadassah national president Marcie Natan spoke to Arutz Sheva news about the ongoing crisis on Monday.
"Hadassah will never be involved in the management of the hospital. We never have been, and we won't be," Natan stated. "However the HMO board which has been asking questions right along, and not getting fully transparent responses, will now understand its obligation to understand the real day-to-day situation," she added.
The Hadassah Women's Zionist Organization of America was founded in 1912 by Henrietta Szold and a women's study group called the Daughters of Zion. Dedicated to providing medical care for residents of Jerusalem, they eventually built the world-class Hadassah Medical Center.
