Hadassah Workers Block Street Next to PM Residence

A hundred employees of the Hadassah hospitals in Jerusalem gathered in front of the Prime Minister's Residence and blocked the street, Monday morning in protest of not being paid all of their January salary, among other issues associated with the hospital's dire financial situation. They said an advance on their February salaries does not cancel the debt of the medical centers for the workers' labor during January.

At 11:00 a.m., the workers are scheduled to move to Safra Square in front of Jerusalem's city hall, where they will be joined by other Hadassah employees, Jerusalem municipal workers, members of the Histadrut Labor Federation from the Jerusalem area and workers from other workplaces. At 1:00 p.m., a protest will take place in the area of the String Bridge at the entrance to Jerusalem.
