Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange finished the trading week, Thursday, with modest losses. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,211.53, down .21 percent from Wednesday's close, while the TA 100 dropped a tenth of a percent to 1,209.05, including a loss of .05 percent to 1,309.09 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 1,061.45, down 1.79 percent.
Leading the gains was the communications index, which rose .47 percent to 731.79, while the real-estate issues closed at 375.42, up .09 percent. The oil and natural-gas stocks declined .18 percent to 1,278.60, followed by the bank index, which lost .21 percent to 1,259.04 as the financial institutions finished the day at 1,210.98, down .55 percent, including a drop of .93 percent to 1,411.74 by the insurance issues. The biomed stocks closed at 1,129.52, down .61 percent, and the rest of the technology index fell 1.66 percent to 355.22.
