Gilo Gas Tragedy Not Unique, But Another in a Long History of Problems

According to the Fire Fighting and Rescue units, the recent Gilo tragedy is not one of a kind, but one of many incidents that have occured resultant from use of unregulated gas equipment, illegal gas facilities, leaks, explosions, asphyxiation and poisoning.

Data from the National Authority for Frefighting and Rescue Units shows that between 2009-2012 there were 8,785 such incidents that occurred, 4,752 of them which took place in 2012 alone.
