Israeli Sources: Erdoğan Wants Agreement in a Few Weeks

Senior Israeli sources have confirmed that Israel and Turkey are holding accelerated talks to put an end to the diplomatic crisis caused by Israel's interception of the Turkish ship Mavi Marmara, which tried to break the naval blockade on Gaza in 2010. Nine Turkish citizens were killed after terrorists on board attacked Israeli commandos who boarded the vessel.

An Israeli diplomatic source estimated that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has a significant interest in wrapping up an agreement with Israel in the next few weeks, explaining that Erdoğan is interested in bringing an agreement before the Turkish parliament before next month's regional elections.
