The pound sterling was set at 5.7866 shekels, up .484 percent, while the Japanese yen edged up .014 percent to NIS 3.5004. The Australian dollar was fixed at NIS 3.1809, up .671 percent, while its Canadian counterpart advanced .253 percent to 3.2074 shekels. The Norwegian krone was fixed at NIS .57, up .76 percent and the Swedish krona rose .795 percent to NIS .5455, while the South African rand was fixed at .3192 shekels, up .125 percent.
