Report: Jordan to Appoint Envoy to Iran

Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh is expected to appoint an ambassador to Tehran within a few days, the Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper reported on Tuesday. There has been no official Jordanian representation in Iran for the past six years.

Jordanian officials told the newspaper that the Hashemite Kingdom decided to re-examine the issue of the diplomatic representation in Tehran after Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif’s visit to Amman last month.
