Court Rejects Appeal of the 4 Arabs Who Attacked Beit Yonatan

The Supreme Court has rejected an appeal filed by the four Arabs accused of attacking Beit Yonatan, in the Silwan neighborhood of Jerusalem with lit flares, firecrackers, rocks and Molotov cocktails in June of 2011. The attack was launched at a time when families and small children would be at home.

The Court, though, has accepted the appeal of an additional defendant deciding in his favor regarding charges of various weapons charges, and leaving him with the charge of aggravated assault.

The five defendants, which include three minors, were convicted by the Jerusalem District Court on charges of arson, weapons manufacture, weapons distribution, intent to cause public rioting, and intent to cause serious bodily harm.
