Me'uhedet Signs First Collective Bargaining Agreement

The Me'uhedet Health Fund signed a collective bargaining agreement with its workers' committee and the Histadrut Labor Federation on Sunday, three years after the employees became unionized with the Histadrut.

The main achievement of the pact is pay hikes, specifically for those at the low end of the pay scale. Workers with five years experience and a monthly salary of less than 5,000 shekels ($1,429) will get a raise of NIS 500 ($143). Those earning between 5,000 and 7,500 shekels ($2,144) will get an additional NIS 400 ($114) and those making more than 7,500 shekels will get NIS 350 ($100) more.
