Indyk: Up to 80% of Yesha Jews will Stay Put

New details of the framework agreement for talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA) emerged, Friday, from a meeting United States envoy Martin Indyk had with American Jewish leaders. The agreement is due out in the coming weeks.

Indy said 75-80 percent of the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria will not be uprooted and PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas is not opposed to those living outside the big Jewish population blocs receiving PA citizenship. The possibility is being examined of compensating Jewish families who were forced to flee Arab countries before or at the time the modern state of Israel was established.
