Lapid: A Failure in Negotiations Will Hurt Israel's Economy

Minister of Finance Yair Lapid spoke this evening (Wednesday) at the National Defense conference that is taking place in Tel Aviv.  During his speech he spoke about the potential impact of failed political negotiations with the PA Arabs.

"Should the negotiations get hung up or blown up, even a partial European boycott would cause the Israeli economy to retreat, hitting every Israeli in the pocket. The cost of living will rise, funding for health, education and social welfare programs will be cut, and much of the international market will be closed to us," Lapid said.
