Speaker for the Jewish Home faction in the Knesset, MK Ayelet Shaked, responded to the statements of those within the Prime Minister's Office who proclaimed, "if they do not like the government, they don't have to stay."
"Jewish Home does not have any problem with leaving," Shaked said in an interview this morning (Tuesday) with Galei Tzahal (Army Radio). "I will remain the Speaker for the Jewish Home faction in the opposition, as well. We weren't born in the coaltion, and we do not find it problematic to be in the opposition. The question is - what is best for Israel; that is why we were elected," Shaked said.
Netanyahu is expected to call in Bennett for a reprimand following Bennett's vocal criticism of the Prime Minister's plan to allow Israeli citizens to remain under Palestinian sovereignty.
