Ukraine Minister of Justice Threatens to Call State of Emergency

The Minister of Justice of the Ukraine pronounced a threat this morning (Monday) aimed at the protesters who overtook the Ministry of Justice yesterday (Sunday).

"If the protesters do not leave the Justice Department building within the next hour, I will ask the Council for National Security and Defense to impose a state of emergency", declared Justice Minister, Elena Lukasz, to the Inter TV network.

Lukasz claimed that the protesters took over the building just as the latest amendments to the law were being legislated into the Ukrainian Constitution, in order to return it to the text of the Constitution Act of 2004
